Traversing the Northwest Passage 1 - 27 September 2025
20 September 2025: Day 20
Cruise Day 13: Greenland: Sisimiut
Introduction
Our last day on the expedition was at the town of Sisimiut. Our ship was tied up at the dock, so our time zooming araound in the Zodiacs was over. We walked off
the ship early as the coaches were departing from 8.30am. We had a local guide, a young Danish student who was spending a year in Greenland. She worked at the local hotel and was
also one of their dog wranglers as the hotel offered dog sled trips in Winter. The coach trip took us around the town and out to the dog kennels. Here we met some of the dogs and
the puppies. The coach dropped us off at the local museum; from there we walked back to the ship.

Time-lapse video of our passage
I set up a camera on the deck of our cabin to record a photo every 30 seconds. The photos have been compressed into a short video. This video is erratic, showing how much the ship was rolling in the wind.
