Traversing the Northwest Passage 1 - 27 September 2025
7 September 2025: Day 7
Seattle to Calgary
Introduction
The Northwest Passage expedition was to begin in Calgary so we needed to fly there from Seattle. We arrived mid-morning and were met by a shuttle that took us
into Calgary and the Marriott Residence Inn. Our rooms were available so after dropping our bags we walked the block to the Craft Beer Market for lunch and a sample of their beer.
Flight to Calgary
The flight left early so we were picked up at 5.30am. SEATAC (the Seattle-Tacoma Airport) was surprisingly busy so early in the morning and our Alaska Airlines flight was full.
As we taxied for takeoff there were 4 aircraft ahead and 10 aircraft behind us.
