Traversing the Northwest Passage

23 September 2025: Day 23

Our Final Day in Vancouver

Introduction

We flew from Toronto to Vancouver late in the day and were pleased to rest again in the St Regis Hotel. For our final day we took the bus across the harbour to the Granville Island markets. There are a wide range of shops here, many targetted to tourists, but the fresh fruit and produce market is as good as any we have visited. After wandering the shops we saw the brightly coloured Aquabus (water taxi) so we caught one of these to the Village Wharf, close to the Science World dome. After a leisurely drink at the Tap and Barrel bar, we walked past Science World to the Main Street train stop that would take us back to our hotel.
